Baltimore – 2019

June 15th, 2019 | Benfield Sportscenter

On June 15th, 2019, we headed to Millersville, Maryland, for our first ever Tap Cancer Out Baltimore BJJ Open, and it was one of our most successful first-year tournaments EVER!

Kevin Glass from Kogen Dojo came out of the blocks QUICKLY and never looked back. He’s now our newest member of the $5K Club, raising $6,254!

This was a very special edition of the Michael Corb Top Children’s Fundraiser award, as Michael Corb himself was born in Baltimore and treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital for his far too short life. The winner of this award in Baltimore was Arianna Rose Culotta from Crazy 88 who was our #3 fundraiser overall, raising $3,145!

The Top Fundraising Team award didn’t have to go far, as it was taken home just a stone’s throw away from Benfield Sportscenter by Conquest BJJ / Vicente Jr. Team. The team raised $10,898 thanks to 25 transacting team members.

Ultimately 132 transacting fundraisers and 1,018 generous donors helped us raise $61,763 in direct donations. In total, the tournament raised more than $77,000!!
